Seascape Watercolor Painting

This painting utilizes the shapes of hand drum symbols, including triangles, circles and half circles, to create the boats (sloops), sun, sky and water.  This simplicity gives the painting a folk art feel.  This painting was done soon after I visited the Marblehead, Massachusetts bay, in which sloops leisurely floated during a warm, sunny day.
