Flowering, Weeping TreeMarquand Park, Princeton, NJ © Gregory Hochman These photos are from April 22, 2007. They were taken at Marquand Park in Princeton, New Jersey. The flowers are extra rich and full because New Jersey had a wet April. The wet weather was also accompanied by unseasonably cold temperatures, which caused the tree flowers to delay their blooms. But the patient trees persevered and exploded with color and scent when the weather warmed and precipitation ended. The weekend of April 20th thru April 22, 2007 was a memorable one in which the flowering trees of New Jersey (and many other states along the East coast, I suspect) exploded with color, scent and beauty.
