Eucalyptus TreeEucalyptus from Selby Gardens, Sarasota, Florida, 2003The Eucalyptus terreliana comes across as human-like to me. It's bark has the appearance and smoothness of skin; even the color of the bark in the photo is similar to the color of very fair-skinned person. And up close the bark looks like skin covering a tight, firm musculature. I think the branching of the E. terreliana is also fun to look at. The branches consistently form a "Y" pattern, a common but classic branching pattern for so many trees.
